According to a report by Le Parisien, Arsenal are making moves to complete a deal for outgoing Paris Saint-Germain sensation Emmanuel Mbemba.

Mbemba, who has been described as 'one of the most exciting centre-back prospects in Europe', is set to depart the French champions with his contract expiring and no agreement found over a renewal.

The 18-year-old has got several offers on the table, including from PSG, but it's Arsenal who have made the most compelling move for the centre-back, who has captained the French champions at youth level.

The north London club have scouted him several times over the course of the season, and have been very impressed. However, there is an issue if they want to complete the deal.

Mbemba currently doesn't qualify for a work permit in England, and if a deal were to be completed, he would have to be loaned out to a team in another league first.

Arsenal Looking to Lock Down the Future

Mikel Arteta

Arsenal have grown into one of the very best teams in world football this season, thanks to the management and ideas of Arteta in the dugout.

He has trusted youth throughout his time in charge, with the likes of Bukayo Saka, Myles Lewis-Skelly, Ethan Nwaneri, William Saliba, and most recently Max Dowman coming through and establishing themselves as first-team regulars.

Young stars will be looking at that and believing they can do the same thing in years to come, and now the Gunners are hoping to get one over on the team who crushed their European dreams.
