Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion have reportedly beaten several top European sides to secure the signing of highly rated Super Eagles invitee Zadok Yohanna from Swedish side AIK.
Yohanna, who was recently invited to the Super Eagles setup ahead of the Unity Cup tournament, has enjoyed a rapid rise in form in the Swedish Allsvenskan.
The young attacker has registered two goals and three assists in just seven league appearances this season, performances that have quickly placed him on the radar of elite clubs.
His breakthrough displays reportedly sparked strong interest from across the continent, including Bundesliga sides Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund, as well as French club Stade Rennais FC.
In England, both Newcastle United and Chelsea FC were also credited with strong interest in the promising forward.
According to German transfer expert Florian Plettenberg, Brighton have now reached an agreement with AIK for a package worth €28 million plus €2 million in add-ons.
Yohanna is expected to sign a long-term contract running until 2031, as the Seagulls look to secure one of Europe's most exciting teenage prospects for the future.
Following the agreement, Yohanna is expected to continue his development in the Premier League and hope for a recall to the Super Eagles setup, after AIK's decision not to release him for the Unity Cup in London.
