Real Madrid show interest to sign Enzo Fernandez from Chelsea this summer. In this case, a swap deal for Eduardo Camavinga, Brahim Diaz and Fran Garcia is being worked out in exchange of Enzo Fernandez.
Eduardo Camavinga
As reported by Talk Chelsea, Eduardo Camavinga can be one of the players that Chelsea seek in exchange of Enzo Fernandez. The 23-year-old professional footballer can play as a central midfielder as well as a left back. Camavinga joined Real Madrid from French club Rennes in 2021. His versatility adds flexibility to the team. He can fill multiple positions on the pitch without the team changing its shape and tactics. As reported by MSN, Marc Cucurella can leave the Blues this summer to join Enzo Maresca at Man City. Thus, if Camavinga comes in, he can be a real upgrade at the left back position.
Camavinga has struggled to get game time at Madrid. He has made 29 appearances for Los Blancos in La Liga this season, but he made it in the starting 11 only 16 times out of those 29 appearances. It is visible that Madrid uses him as a substitute and bench option behind Aurelien Tchouameni. As reported by ESPN, Real Madrid will be ready to listen to offers for Camavinga as interest from other Premier League clubs also lingers.
As reported by Teamtalk, Chelsea previously had tried to sign Camavinga in 2025, but Madrid refused to accept any offers. Now, as his situation and game time at Madrid is concerning, the Blues might try again. This can turn out to be a win-win situation for both clubs. Madrid can sign Fernandez, Chelsea can get Camavinga along with additional transfer fees for Fernandez.
Camavinga’s stats in major competitions for Real Madrid in 2025/26 as reported by FotMob:
Competition Appearances Starts Successful passes Ball recoveries Duels won Tackles
La Liga 29 16 997 84 119 65
UCL 11 5 290 31 45 22
Brahim Diaz
Brahim Diaz is a 27-year-old winger playing for Real Madrid. Diaz started his career at his home town club Malaga before moving to Man City’s academy in 2016. Diaz had a short career at Manchester City as Madrid signed him in 2019 for a fee of £15.5 million. However, Diaz was unable to create a name in Real Madrid’s starting eleven. He was loaned out to AC Milan for three years from season 2020/21 to 2022/23.
He returned to Madrid but has faced issues over getting game time. Chelsea boss Xabi Alonso has spent a significant amount of time with Brahim Diaz at Madrid. Alonso showed trust and confidence in Diaz’s abilities. Chelsea want to add a new winger and Diaz’s connection with Alonso might make the Blues approach Madrid for his transfer.
Brahim Diaz’s stats in major competitions for Real Madrid in 2025/26 as reported by FotMob:
Competition Appearances Starts Goals Assists Successful dribbles
La Liga 30 13 1 6 25
UCL 12 4 1 1 3
Fran Garcia
Fran Garcia is a 26-year-old left back playing for Real Madrid. He is often seen as a backup option to Alvaro Carreras. Garcia wants regular game time and it looks like it might not be possible for him at Madrid. As reported by TransferFeed, Garcia wanted a loan move to Bournemouth in winter transfer window of season 2025/26, but Madrid did not want him to go mid-season.
Now, if Cucurella moves to Man City and Camavinga does not join Chelsea, Fran Garcia might be a part of the deal in exchange of Enzo Fernandez to Madrid. Even if Camavinga joins the Blues, they might look to use him in midfield and sign Fran Garcia for the left back position, giving the Blues strong options across multiple roles.
Fran Garcia’s stats in major competitions for Real Madrid in 2025/26 as reported by FotMob:
Competition Appearances Starts Interceptions Duels won
La Liga 13 10 7 43
UCL 7 2 5 5
Copa del Rey 2 2 2 4
