Report: Arsenal eye move for PSG starlet Mbemba

Arsenal are reportedly in talks with Paris Saint-Germain youngster Emmanuel Mbemba as the club looks to strengthen its academy.

According to Le Parisien, the 18-year-old defender has been closely monitored this season by the Gunners, who are understood to be aware of his intention to leave the Parc des Princes when his current contract expires this summer.

BBC Sport add that Arsenal would need to pay compensation to secure the France under-19 international’s signature. The player has also reportedly been informed that he would spend at least six months out on loan in order to accumulate the points required to obtain a work permit.

Elsewhere, the transfer rumour mill continues to gather pace. Since the season ended, Mikel Arteta’s side have been linked with Eintracht Frankfurt left-back Nathaniel Brown, while Riccardo Calafiori is reportedly attracting interest from Real Madrid.

The Gunners are also expected to complete a permanent deal for Piero Hincapie. Following a successful season on loan from Bayer Leverkusen, the Ecuador international’s move is widely viewed as a formality.

Further forward, Morgan Rogers, Eli Junior Kroupi, Bradley Barcola and Julian Alvarez continue to feature prominently in transfer speculation, while Arsenal are also closing in on Leicester City teenager Jeremy Monga.
