Arsenal’s Declan Rice and Martin Ødegaard controlled midfield rhythms throughout the title-winning season, and Liverpool must close that gap in creativity and physicality.
Iraola’s high-intensity system demands tireless, technically sound midfielders who press from the front and cover ground relentlessly. Securing the right profile here could prove as transformative as any attacking addition Liverpool make.
