Three Liverpool greats linked up, with Alisson, Mohamed Salah, and Fabinho seen talking and embracing after Brazil defeated Egypt in a World Cup warm-up game.

On Saturday, with the World Cup set to kick off next week, Brazil and Egypt clashed in a final exhibition match before the tournament begins. The game saw several Liverpool stars, past and present, cross paths, including goalkeeper Alisson.

Alisson started the game in goal for Brazil, although he was withdrawn at halftime with the score tied at 1-1 thanks to goals from Bruno Guimaraes and Mostafa Ziko. His international teammate Fabinho came on for the start of the second half, as did Salah.

The second 45 minutes saw Endrick snag a winner for Brazil. Regardless of the defeat, Salah was seen with a smile on his face as he embraced and spoke to Alisson and Fabinho after fulltime.

Earlier this year, Salah confirmed he will be leaving Anfield, and with Fabinho already moving on to Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia, Alisson is the last remaining member of the trio still at Liverpool. The trio played together for five seasons, winning six trophies, including the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League.

Fabinho departed in 2023, signing a lucrative contract in Saudi Arabia. The Brazilian made 219 appearances for Liverpool across all competitions, scoring 11 goals and providing nine assists.

In Jurgen Klopp’s team, Fabinho was a midfield general and a key part of the squad that emerged as a perennial contender both domestically and on the continent. He could yet be joined in the Middle East by Salah, who departed Liverpool by mutual consent following the 2025-26 season.

Over his legendary nine-year tenure with the club, Salah made 435 appearances, scored 255 goals, and provided 119 assists across all competitions. He leaves as the Reds’ all-time top scorer in the Premier League era and their third-highest scorer in history.

Now, only Alisson remains with the club, for now. The Brazilian is also preparing for his third World Cup as his country’s first-choice goalkeeper, thanks to an exceptional career at Anfield since joining from Roma in 2018 for a then-world record fee for a goalkeeper. Alisson has made 332 appearances, kept 137 clean sheets, and scored 1 iconic goal during his career with Liverpool.

For Reds fans, seeing Alisson with Salah and Fabinho is a sight for sore eyes. The group appeared to be talking and laughing after the game before taking a photo together.

Both Brazil and Egypt will now prepare to begin their World Cup quest.
