Nuggets star names his choice for the NBA Finals MVP award

Leading the NBA Finals 2-0 against the Spurs, the New York Knicks are pursuing their first title in decades. Karl-Anthony Towns’ dominant two-way play has anchored a 13-game playoff win streak, leading Denver’s Cameron Johnson to name him the early favorite for Finals MVP.

The New York Knicks haven't been this close to winning a championship in decades.

After beating the San Antonio Spurs twice in Texas to start the NBA Finals, the Knicks are now hosting the Western Conference champions in Madison Square Garden.

Karl-Anthony Towns is one of the biggest reasons for the Knicks' current 2-0 lead.

In the current playoffs, where the Knicks have a 13-win streak and have won 8 of those games on the road, Towns is averaging 17.3 points, 10.8 rebounds and 5.6 assists.

Denver Nuggets' forward Cameron Johnson is ecstatic about the Dominican center, claiming that he is currently en route to winning the Finals MVP award after the first two games of the series.

"He's their MVP in the Finals at this point for me," Johnson remarked on The Old Man And The Three Podcast.

"He has a very difficult task; he's not the only one that they put on [Wembanyama], but it's still an incredibly tough assignment."

"Offensively he's asserting himself, but not anywhere outside of his confines. All the shots were either easy buckets that he created or flow shots. An 8-12 FG on a 21-13-4 stat line is a huge reason why they won Game 2," Johnson concluded.
