Morgan Gibbs-White features on Arsenal's transfer shortlist as a potential alternative to Morgan Rogers.

The Gunners are looking to recruit a new No.10 this summer and have pinpointed Rogers as their primary target, following another outstanding campaign at Aston Villa, where he netted 14 goals and contributed 12 assists across 55 appearances.

Paris Saint-Germain are also pursuing Rogers, as they seek reinforcements after claiming the Champions League. However, if Mikel Arteta's side cannot secure the £80million-rated Rogers, Gibbs-White, 26, is amongst their alternative targets.

The Nottingham Forest midfielder excelled in 2025/26, scoring 18 goals and registering seven assists in 53 matches. Despite his performances not earning him a place in Thomas Tuchel's England squad for the World Cup, Gibbs-White continues to draw considerable interest this summer, with Arsenal tracking him.

According to The Sun, Gibbs-White appears on Arsenal's shortlist as a possible alternative to Rogers. Tottenham and Aston Villa have also been connected with a move for the former Wolves and Sheffield United player.

Gibbs-White appeared destined to join Spurs 12 months ago, but instead penned a lucrative new deal until June 2028 after Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis convinced him to remain. Marinakis would once more be reluctant to sanction his departure without resistance - particularly with £100m-rated colleague Elliot Anderson being tracked by Manchester City and Manchester United.

With Gibbs-White omitted from the England squad for the World Cup, he opted to put his disappointment aside by spending the weekend with his girlfriend at the Monaco Grand Prix.

While attending the Formula 1 event, Gibbs-White was questioned about his summer intentions by Sky Sports reporter Craig Slater, with the Forest vice-captain seemingly playing his cards close to his chest.

"Out here now with the missus, so going to enjoy a few days with no kids, have a few drinks and hopefully chill out."

Gibbs-White was subsequently asked about England's prospects at the World Cup. The Three Lions begin their campaign on Wednesday, 17 June against Croatia before meeting Ghana and Panama.

He continued: "They have the best chance they have had in many years with the manager and players they have got. It's a real good group of guys, good group of players, incredible talent and I wish them all the best."

Arsenal are seeking to strengthen their squad following their Premier League title triumph for the first time in 22 years. Alongside a new No.10, the Gunners are also keen to recruit a new left winger.
