Inter Milan is keeping a close eye on Curtis Jones as uncertainty surrounds the midfielder's future at Liverpool.

Jones is entering the final year of his contract at Anfield, having previously been linked with moves to both Inter and Tottenham Hotspur during the January transfer window. The England international clocked more minutes than ever before in a Reds season during the 2025/26 campaign, yet struggled to cement a place in Arne Slot's starting line-up, frequently being deployed at right-back by the Dutchman prior to his dismissal last weekend.

Incoming manager Andoni Iraola is widely expected to be busy in the transfer market, and Reds forward Federico Chiesa has disclosed that Jones has been quizzing him about life in Italy.

Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio addressed the club's summer intentions with journalists on Sunday, stating: "Curtis Jones, we are paying attention to him. We didn't hide. We understand what the developments will be," reports the Liverpool Echo.

Academy graduate Jones, who netted the final goal of Slot's reign in Liverpool's 1-1 draw with Brentford on the last day of the season, has made 228 appearances for the Reds, finding the net on 22 occasions.

Liverpool FC have launched their new home kit for the 2026/27, inspired by iconic adidas strip worn during the club's 1989/90 title-winning campaign.

He has collected two Premier League winners' medals, along with an FA Cup and two League Cups, yet has never managed to consistently hold down his preferred midfield berth owing to injuries and the preference of both Slot and Jurgen Klopp for alternative options.

Jones broke into the England squad in late 2024 under interim boss Lee Carsley, and while he marked his debut with a goal against Greece, he has since fallen out of favor under Thomas Tuchel and has not added to his six caps in the past 12 months.

Italy international Chiesa, widely expected to return to Serie A this summer, let slip in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport that Jones had been quizzing him about life in Italy, fuelling speculation of a potential move.

"Jones only asked me how life is in Italy," Chiesa said.

"I told him you live very well and the weather is better than Liverpool. Jones is technically very strong, Inter are right to think about him. As for Alisson, from what I hear he stays in England, but we will see. He is one of the best five goalkeepers in the world."
