Jurgen Klopp's agent has hit out at "annoying" rumours linking his client with a move to Real Madrid - but it has been claimed that the former Liverpool boss dreams of one day managing Germany. Aside from the occasional charity match, Klopp has not been in a dugout since he left Liverpool.
He has been working as the global head of soccer at the Red Bull football franchise, a role which has taken him around the world to see the brand's teams in the USA, Brazil and many other places. However, with Real Madrid currently going through a club presidential election, contender Enrique Riquelme recently said he would try to bring Klopp to the Bernabeu.
Jose Mourinho is expected to be confirmed as Real Madrid's manager, but this state of affairs may change if Riquelme ousts Florentino Perez from the head of the Real table. But whatever the result of the election, Klopp's agent Marc Kosike has insisted Klopp will not be moving to another team.
"It's annoying,” he said on Sky Germany. “Jurgen Klopp is happy in his role at Red Bull and has no ambitions to work as a coach at a club.”
According to the Sun, Klopp dreams of one day managing Germany, who are currently coached by Julian Nagelsmann. In March, not too long after Real parted with Xabi Alonso, Klopp denied any link to the Spanish heavyweights, but did not rule out a return to coaching.
He said: "If Real Madrid had phoned, we would have heard about it by now. But that's all nonsense. They haven't called even once, not once. My agent is there, you can ask him. They haven't called him either.
"Right now I'm not thinking about that, luckily there's no reason to. For my age I'm quite advanced in life, but as a coach I'm not completely finished. I haven't reached retirement age. Who knows what will happen in the coming years? But there's nothing planned."

Klopp's clear comments have not warded off Riquelme's desire to bring the German to the club. The 37-year-old, multi-billionaire has also said he pledged to bring Manchester City forward Erling Haaland to the club, and even did so by holding a Real Madrid shirt with the Norwegian's name on the back - though City have made their feelings clear on the matter.
His energy has been the same when it comes to Klopp. He recently said: "We know that Jürgen Klopp has publicly stated he has no intention of returning to the dugout in the short term, and that he has turned down numerous offers.
"That is precisely why we believe the challenge of Real Madrid is different. Because there are great clubs, but there is only one Real Madrid. There is only one institution capable of uniting tradition and future, values and ambition, passion and excellence.

"For that reason, if the members grant me their trust this Sunday, on Monday Raúl will contact Jürgen Klopp to convey to him personally our sporting project and our wish for him to be the one to lead, from the bench, a new era for Real Madrid.
"We are speaking of one of the finest coaches of our time. But, above all, we are speaking of a leader capable of restoring to Real Madrid the competitive intensity, the daily demands, the professionalism, the meritocracy, the dressing-room unity and the pride in a job well done that have always characterised the great eras of our history."
