Former Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren has offered a fascinating insight into Mohamed Salah’s departure from Anfield, suggesting the Egyptian’s relationship with former head coach Arne Slot was a major factor behind his decision to leave.

“I don’t think it’s management, I think it’s just one person, and I think it’s the coach,” Lovren said.
