The New York Knicks are two wins away from securing their first NBA Finals win in 53 years, currently up 2-0 on the San Antonio Spurs as the series shifts to Madison Square Garden. Jalen Brunson hasn't had a good series overall, but he's found ways to knock down clutch jumpers in each of the first two games to help his team get the early series lead.
Recently, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic asked Brunson about how the pressure of the NBA Finals stage is affecting him, and reported that the star point guard “told me the most nervous he’s ever been was his wedding day and on draft day because of the unknown of where he’d be living and playing, about his thoughts on failure.”
“I view pressure … my dad, he was in the league on 10-day contracts and non-guaranteed deals,” Brunson said of his father, Knicks assistant coach and former player Rick Brunson. “Being able to see that, and getting older and seeing what he had to do (for his family to live), I have it easy.”

Brunson has been ice cold in the clutch throughout his Knicks career, continuing in this playoff run, although New York hasn't needed a lot of late-game heroics in this postseason, as they've routinely blown out teams over the last month-plus.
The Knicks have now won an astonishing 13 straight games, and if they were able to win the next two games at home and close out the NBA Finals with their third straight sweep, serious conversations would be had about their place among the most dominant postseason runs in NBA history.
For now, the Knicks will focus on Game 3, which is set for Monday evening in New York.
