Popovich's message was simple, with the legendary head coach emphasizing that the Spurs must forget the first two games and shift their focus to the next one.

"Pretty much his message was, 'Just let the last two games go,'" Castle recalled during his press conference ahead of Game 3 in New York.

"It happened. They were very winnable games. We feel like we gave them those games," he added.

No team in NBA Finals history has ever come back from a 2-0 deficit after losing the first two games at home, putting San Antonio in a difficult position.

Game 3 in New York is scheduled for Monday at 8:30 p.m. ET.
