Liverpool are facing the prospect of having an "unhappy" star in the ranks, as TEAMtalk claims the club won't be selling a key player who is looking to leave.
It comes as the Reds are looking at several changes across the team, with one already made in the dugout as Andoni Iraola replaces Arne Slot as head coach for next season.
A switch in manager could also result in a change of playing personnel, as the team trades a slightly more patient, possession-based style in favour of a more intense, pressing approach.
That means some players may not suit the change, and others may simply lose their place to accommodate the changes.
One of those linked with an exit is Cody Gakpo, who could leave Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

Gakpo
Recent reports have claimed that Gakpo has handed in a transfer request at Liverpool, as he looks forward to a potential new challenge in the coming months.
It would be a surprise move for the winger, so soon after Slot's exit, but one that would represent change for the Reds as they look to bolster the attacking ranks.
However, according to a report from TeamTalk, Liverpool are not actively seeking a sale for the Netherlands international and have no plans to facilitate an exit as things stand.
It's stated that the club don't view the forward as "untouchable", meaning an offer could twist their arm into accepting a deal, but that all depends on what offers could be made.
Gakpo is claimed to be "unhappy" at the prospect of becoming a second-choice for Liverpool on the left wing, with a battle on the cards with youngster Rio Ngumoha.
That is what has seemingly sparked the exit talk, with the player's representatives doing their due diligence to find potential landing spots if that becomes reality.
The report also adds that Gakpo could be "leverage" in a potential swap deal with RB Leipzig, as discussions with the club over a deal for Yan Diomande continues.
For now, though, it appears as though Liverpool are not open to an exit and all focus will be on going into next season with Gakpo part of the squad.

Liverpool Sale Priorities
Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola watching on from the touchline
While Liverpool could look to generate some extra revenue through sales this summer, this may be for players they need to get out to land an extra transfer boost.
In Gakpo, the Reds have a £250,000-a-week player contracted until 2030 who would offer plenty to the squad both in a starting capacity and from the bench, even if he struggled in the previous campaign.
That means potential sales must instead focus on those who aren't part of the immediate plans, starting with Harvey Elliott on his return from a difficult loan at Aston Villa.
Beyond him, there is Curtis Jones, who is in the final year of his contract and has been linked with a potential move to Inter Milan this summer.
Similar question marks have arisen over the future of Alexis Mac Allister, as his contract nears an end, with no current extension in sight for the midfielder.
It remains to be seen who else could be on their way out, with Gakpo a potential option, but not a priority for the club to consider in the coming months.
