Victor Wembanyama said he is not distracted by the Finals spotlight or Donald Trump’s expected attendance, emphasizing that he has learned to handle pressure through acceptance.

San Antonio Spurs young superstar Victor Wembanyama opened up about dealing with distractions and pressure ahead of Game 3 of the NBA Finals against the New York Knicks.

Wembanyama was asked about the increased media attention surrounding the Finals and whether President Donald Trump's expected attendance adds another layer of distraction.

"Not really. I think it could be," Wembanyama said. "Isolating myself is something I've practiced over the years, and I think I'm good at it, so it's not a problem. This is something similar media-wise, like the Olympics."

Despite being only 22 years old, Wembanyama said he has learned how to handle pressure by accepting the situation rather than overthinking it.

"How to deal with it? I think the key is acceptance," Wembanyama said. "A lot of times, it's taking a step back, realizing the journey that's behind us and what's ahead of us, and just being okay with who I am, where I am, what I'm doing.

"This is everything that I wished for, so there's no reason to really overthink it. This is what I'm built for," he added.

The Spurs are in a difficult position, as no team in NBA Finals history has ever come back from a 2-0 deficit after losing the first two games at home.

Game 3 in New York is scheduled for Monday at 8:30 p.m. ET.
