Knicks’ Mikal Bridges takes jab at NBA Finals reporter for bloated question

The New York Knicks have a 2-0 lead against the San Antonio Spurs, and it's safe to say they're in the driver's seat to win an NBA championship. They're getting some key minutes from several players in the series, with one of them being Mikal Bridges.

The Knicks' forward has experience playing in the Finals with the Phoenix Suns, and he knows how it feels to be up 2-0. Unfortunately, they lost that series to the Milwaukee Bucks, so Bridges also knows what it feels like to lose control of a series.

Before Game 3, Bridges was asked a three-part question, and following his answer, he called out the reporter.

“Mikal Bridges was asked to rank Game 3 of the NBA Finals at MSG amongst big games in his career thus far. Said he hasn’t played it yet, so he doesn’t know. Then poked fun at the question being a three parter and said he didn’t remember the other parts lol,” Pursiainen wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Bridges is trying to keep it one game at a time, which comes as no surprise. In Game 2, he finished with 20 points and shot 8-for-13 from the field. One thing the Knicks have always gotten from Bridges is his ability to be available, as he has the active streak of most consecutive games played.

“I just want to be out there … just want to grow every day, be better. It’s kind of how I was raised, kind of how when I was in high school, college, my coaches always preached playing every game even if you’re banged up a little bit. They make you play,” Bridges said. “I think subconsciously knowing how the league goes … the more I think about it, never ever, leave a window open for someone to take your spot. I think that’s kind of been subconsciously staying on my mind ever since I first got in the league.
