On Monday evening, the New York Knicks will hit the floor at home to take on the San Antonio Spurs in Game 3 of the NBA Finals. The Knicks are hoping to take a 3-0 lead in their NBA Finals series after stealing the first two games on the road.
In attendance for Game 3 will be United States President Donald Trump, which has already caused the Knicks to caution fans to allow extra time to get through security.
Some have wondered if Trump's attendance might put a stop to outdoor watch parties that have taken place outside Madison Square Garden throughout the playoffs, but on Sunday, fans got a positive update on that front.
“Despite rumors on social media to the contrary, an NYPD spokesperson tells @FOS that there WILL be outdoor Knicks Game 3 watch parties tomorrow night. Locations are TBD,” reported Ryan Glasspiegel of FOS on X, formerly Twitter.
Unfortunately, those hoping to gather directly outside Madison Square Garden will not be able to do so.

“There will be no watch party outside MSG. This decision was made in coordination with the Secret Service. There will be watch parties at other locations. We are currently determining where they will be,” said the NYPD, per Ian Begley of SNY.
Meanwhile, on the court, the Knicks will look to pick up their 14th straight win of these playoffs. New York hasn't lost a game since Game 3 of the first round against the Atlanta Hawks.
On the other hand, the Spurs have to be somewhat shellshocked after going down 0-2 on their home floor, and they will now have to battle through what will be a hostile road environment at the Garden, putting their youth and inexperience to the test.
Game 3 of this series is set for Monday at 8:30 pm ET in New York.
