VfL Dalton Knecht set to hold his first youth basketball camp in Knoxville

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - VFL and current Los Angeles Laker Dalton Knecht will be returning to Knoxville next weekend.

Knecht announced on his Instagram on Saturday that he will be hosting his first ever youth basketball camp at Pratt Pavilion on the University of Tennessee’s campus.

The camp will take place on June 13 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for kids who range from 4th-8th grade.

Knecht spent one season at Tennessee from 2023-24 and instantly became a star. He averaged 21.7 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game with the Volunteers. He was named SEC Player of the Year, AP SEC Newcomer of the Year and tabbed as an All-American.

After one season with the Vols, Knecht was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round of the 2024 NBA Draft. In his second season with the Lakers, Knecht has averaged 4.2 points and 1.4 rebounds.
