A stabbing inside New York City’s bustling Penn Station on Sunday evening injured six people, including one seriously, according to the New York City Fire Department.

Two people with moderate injuries and another two with minor injuries were taken to Bellevue Hospital for treatment, and a sixth individual was taken with minor injuries to Cornell Hospital, FDNY told The Independent.

The alleged perpetrator is in custody, the department added.

The suspect is thought to be homeless, sources told ABC News.

The Independent has contacted Amtrak, which manages the station, for comment.

Security in the area around Penn Station was already heightened, as President Donald Trump is set to attend Monday’s NBA Finals game at nearby Madison Square Garden.

This is a breaking news story and will be updated with new information.
