Trailing 17-11, Louisville put together an impressive drive and appeared poised to cut into St. Louis’ lead. After opening the game with a long touchdown run, the Kings’ offense had cooled off. However, this possession showed signs of regaining momentum.
Louisville dialed up a trick play, with wide receiver Tyler Hudson taking a lateral and looking toward an open receiver in the end zone. Sims initially bit on the play-action look designed to resemble a screen pass, but his speed and instincts quickly took over.
