Heading into Game 3 with a 2-0 lead against the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals, New York Knicks veteran OG Anunoby isn't thinking about President Donald Trump. While the Spurs are anticipating a raucous Knicks fanbase at Madison Square Garden, the first Finals game the building has hosted in 27 years, Anunoby isn't buying into the hype surrounding Trump's anticipated appearance.
Regardless of Trump's presence, Anunoby says it won't affect the Knicks' approach to Game 3 against the Spurs.
“I think he'll just be there watching the game,” Anunoby said. “We're going to go as usual, play our game. Try to win the game.”

OG Anunoby finished with 17 points on 5-for-10 attempts, including two threes. He also added four rebounds, three assists, two steals, and two blocks in Game 2. Halfway to a championship with two wins under their belt in their best-of-7 series, Anunoby is hyper-focused on the Knicks' opportunity to take a 3-0 lead.

Without answering the reporter's question directly, Towns addressed Trump being in the crowd during Game 3 of the NBA Finals, per SNY Knicks' X, formerly Twitter.
“I mean, we've got to be desperate for the fans, who have earned the right and deserve the right to see Finals basketball to be played at Madison Square Garden,” Towns said. “And for this to be the first game in a long time that they've seen Finals basketball, it's up to us to bring it up.
“Give them something to cheer for, something to get loud for, and something to believe in. I've talked about hope – hope has been brought back to the city, we've revitalized that word. But the word success hasn't been seen in this city for a long time, so we have to continue to fight to bring that word back to fruition.”
