The idea of a 2026 New York Knicks NBA championship has become so valuable that ticket prices are soaring to levels never seen by the New York Giants, Jets, or most NFL franchises in history.

New York is living in a real-life fairy tale as the Knicks prepare to host their first NBA Finals game at Madison Square Garden in 27 years. The Knicks also hold a 2-0 series lead over Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs entering Game 3 at home on Monday night.

With a chance to move within one victory of lifting the Larry O'Brien Trophy, demand has shown average secondary market prices for Games 3 and 4 at Madison Square Garden reaching $7,562, putting the matchup in financial territory only seen for the Super Bowl. Donald Trump is scheduled to attend MSG and inhabit one of the pricey seats during Game 3.

Game 4 prices are even higher with the possibility of seeing New York finish a four-game sweep and clinch the franchise's first NBA championship since 1973 on home court. Entry-level prices have pushed beyond $10,000 on several marketplaces.

The Knicks earned home-court advantage by opening the series with back-to-back victories in San Antonio. Jalen Brunson scored 30 points in a 105-95 Game 1 victory before New York survived a gritty Game 2 to defeat the Spurs 105-104 behind Karl-Anthony Towns' 21 points and 13 rebounds.
