New leaks of Liverpool’s third kit for the 2026/27 season have been shared, provoking a mixed reaction among the Reds’ fanbase.
Liverpool’s new home kit was released in May and received a largely positive reception, with the red strip featuring an all-over geometric pattern inspired by the 1989-1991 kit.
Leaks of the away shirt have also been well-received, but the same can’t be said of the third kit.
Liverpool’s third kit has been known for some time to be covered in a maroon and black pattern, as well as including a silver crest.
The shorts are purported to be black with the same silver Adidas stripes, as are the socks which should retain three hoops near the top.
Opaleak (via Footy Headlines) have provided the latest look at what to expect.
It is said that the maroon and black pattern will resemble the Kop’s waving flags in an abstract manner, but fans aren’t fully convinced by the design.
A common complaint was that it resembles a training kit more than a playing strip.
Not sure on this one tbh. Probably the weakest effort from adidas for Liverpool.

All kit and training gear looks a downgrade on the current season. Was expecting adidas to raise the bar for next season

It is always difficult to tell whether a kit look good until it is seen in real life.
For example, the mismatch between shorts and shirt was a noticeable quirk when Liverpool debuted their new home kit on the final day of the season.
Adidas’ offerings have been a hit so far since they took over from Nike last summer. Hopefully, the 2026/27 third kit isn’t an exception!
