Jurgen Klopp’s agent issues strong response to recent speculation

Jurgen Klopp’s agent, Marc Kosicke, has been quite vocal in the last months addressing the large amount of speculation around his client.

Ever since Jurgen Klopp departed Anfield in the summer of 2024, his name has refused to stay out of the headlines.

The most persistent rumour has been a potential return to management at Real Madrid.

He was touted as Enrique Riquelem’s preferred option should he win in the presidential vote, but Florentino Perez has once again emerged victorious.

That has not stopped the speculation moving in a new direction.

More recently, Saudi Pro League giants Al-Ittihad emerged as the latest club to set their sights on the 58-year-old, identifying him as their “dream” managerial appointment following the departure of Sergio Conceicao.

There was even a separate dimension to the Al-Ittihad links – Klopp’s name was raised not just as a potential manager, but as a possible sporting director figure.

His agent Marc Kosicke, however, has been consistent in his messaging.

Speaking to WinWin, he dismissed the Saudi rumours outright, and when Sky Germany pressed him on the subject last week, he was equally blunt – Jurgen Klopp is happy, settled, and not planning any move.

“I’m tired of all this nonsense, it’s all provocative and these allegations are just nonsense,” Kosicke exclusively said to WinWin.

WinWin reporter Ismael Mahmoud also added:

“His agent also confirmed to me that there is absolutely no chance of Klopp taking on a technical director position or any administrative role at Al-Ittihad.”

The agent previously told Sky Germany earlier last week:

“It’s annoying. Jürgen Klopp is happy in his role at Red Bull and has no ambitions to work as a coach at a club.”

“Not a maybe. Not a we’ll see. Annoying.”

Whatever the speculation, one thing is clear – Klopp remains one of the most coveted figures in world football, and that is unlikely to change any time soon.

Whether it is the Bernabeu, Jeddah, or somewhere else entirely, the queue of clubs willing to do whatever it takes to bring him back to management grows longer by the month.

It has been suggested that the German national team manager role would be the only job that could coax the Liverpool legend out of retirement.
