2027 Cleveland Browns 4-Round Mock Draft Post Myles Garrett Trade

In making one of the biggest moves in franchise history, the Cleveland Browns got more ammunition in the form of draft capital along with defensive end Jared Verse. In an effort to get more familiar with the field preparing to compete this fall and shape the 2027 draft field, it's an opportunity to get a sense of where the team could go now, in a post Myles Garrett landscape. The Browns have additional first-round pick this year plus two fourth-round selections acquired in trades during their most recent draft.

There will be plenty of time to get into the notion of the Browns potentially needing to trade up for a quarterback and the cost involved. For now, it's more useful to use all of the picks to get a look at more of the players. Besides, given the talent that could be available in the upcoming class and where the Browns could fall in the draft order, there's a possibility they don't need to make a dramatic move.

1. Darian Mensah, QB Miami(FL)

Mensah is every bit the modern quarterback in college football. He started at Tulane, then transferred to Duke and now he's getting ready to lead the Miami Hurricanes. The journey come with questions, but it has really worked for Mensah.

As a freshman at Tulane, Mensah completed 65.9 percent of his passes while throwing 22 touchdowns against six interceptions. The Green Wave finished with a 9-5 record.

At Duke, a step up in competition, Mensah completed 66.8 percent of his passes. He threw 34 touchdowns against six interceptions. Even better, Duke got to play meaningful games, finding a way to get into the ACC Championship, win it and then defeated Arizona State in the team's bowl game.
