Jurgen Klopp might be enjoying life away from the touchline, but his calendar over the coming weeks is anything but quiet.

The former Liverpool boss is gearing up for a high‑profile punditry stint with MagentaTV at the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada, where he will headline their coverage as one of the tournament’s star analysts.

Bayern Munich legend and World Cup winner Thomas Muller will be joining the former Liverpool boss.

On top of that, his role as Red Bull’s Head of Global Soccer means the German is likely to be tied up with end‑of‑season reviews, strategy meetings and a host of commercial and promotional duties as the company’s football portfolio prepares for the new campaign across multiple continents.

Amid this busy schedule, Klopp is now reportedly closing in on another significant agreement linked to his Red Bull responsibilities.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the 58‑year‑old is on the verge of appointing Narcis Pelach as the new head coach of RB Omiya Ardija in Japan, with the Spaniard set to sign a two‑year contract with the J2 League side.

Romano reports that Klopp has personally led the process to identify and secure the coach, effectively signing off on the key hire as part of his wider remit within the Red Bull group.

Pelach will no doubt be tasked with turning RB Omiya Ardija into a genuine promotion contender while helping to develop young talents capable of moving through the company’s global network of clubs.

Klopp knows the project well. He was involved in the decision to bring the Japanese side under the Red Bull umbrella in 2024 and even travelled to Saitama in early 2025, taking in a league match, visiting the training ground and spending time with players and staff.
