Fulham find themselves in a period of significant transition this summer, with the search for a new manager dominating headlines at Craven Cottage.

Marco Silva, who guided the Cottagers through a solid Premier League campaign, is set to depart for Portuguese giants Benfica – leaving a managerial void that the club are scrambling to fill.

One high-profile name approached was Liverpool’s recently departed boss Arne Slot.

The Dutchman, however, was quick to dismiss any interest.

According to Gary Jacobs of The Times, Slot is “not interested” in the Fulham job and is in no hurry to make a decision on his next move.

The 47-year-old is believed to be holding out for a project that represents a genuine step up – with the Netherlands national team job, following the expiry of Ronald Koeman’s contract after the 2026 World Cup, reportedly among his preferred options.

With the managerial situation still unsettled, Fulham have at least made a decisive move on the playing front.

The club have officially confirmed they have offered a new contract to Welsh winger Harry Wilson, as his current deal at Craven Cottage has expired.

Wilson is a familiar name to Liverpool supporters, having spent the best part of 16 years within the club’s academy system before eventually departing permanently for Fulham in the summer of 2021.

He made just two senior appearances for the Reds, with the bulk of his development coming through a series of loan spells at Derby County, Bournemouth, and Cardiff City.

Since arriving at Craven Cottage, Wilson has truly come into his own.

In 2025/26 season has represented the finest individual campaign of his career. The Welsh international produced 10 goals and 7 assists in the Premier League, finishing as one of the standout attackers in the division. That form has inevitably attracted attention, with Aston Villa amongst the clubs who have held talks with the player’s camp over a potential summer move.

Fulham will be hoping the formal contract offer is enough to convince Wilson to commit to the next chapter at Craven Cottage.
