Toronto Raptors extend and promote Bobby Webster

The Toronto Raptors and Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment (MLSE) announced that they have agreed to a multi-year extension for general manager Bobby Webster. As part of the extension Webster also gained the title of executive vice president.

“We’re building something special here, and I’m proud to continue to lead the Toronto Raptors as we work towards our next championship.

Thank you to Keith and the MLSE Board of Directors for their confidence and support. This is a franchise that’s focused on the future, and we’re ready for what’s next.”

Other key members of the Raptors’ front office also received extensions, including: Dan Tolzman, vice-president, player personnel and assistant general manager; Keith Boyarsky, vice-president, basketball strategy and research; and Tyla Flexman, vice-president, operations.

“This group has been integral to building the organization and shaping our long-term vision – their leadership, expertise and commitment is second to none.”

The extension comes ahead of a crucial offseason for the Raptors, one that will mark Webster’s 10th season as general manager of the team. Prior to that he served as assistant general manager and vice-president, basketball management and strategy. In August of 2025 Webster assumed full leadership of the club after the team let go of President of Basketball Operations Masai Ujiri, who has since accepted a role as the lead man for the Dallas Mavericks.

Over Webster’s time with the Raptors, the team has been a perennial playoff contender, making nine playoff appearances, two trips to the Eastern Conference finals, winning six Atlantic Division titles, recording five 50-win seasons and of course, winning an NBA championship in 2019.

MLSE CEO Keith Pelley said this on Webster’s extension and promotion:

“Bobby has an elite understanding of the game and the NBA, and he’s used that to build a team that competes at a high level. It’s been an exciting year for the Raptors. They were a joy to watch compete together, and with Bobby and the Raptors, we’ve seen the results, and we believe in where his leadership will take us.”
