Bobby Webster has inked a multi-year extension with the club, along with three key staffers, the team announced Monday morning.
Webster, retained as general manager after a search following the firing of long-time team president Masai Ujiri just shy of a year ago, got a bump up to executive vice president as part of the agreement.
His chief lieutenant, Dan Tolzman, who joined Toronto from Denver with Ujiri back in 2013, also is sticking around as vice president player personnel and assistant general manager.
Keith Boyarsky, hired by Bryan Colangelo long before Ujiri’s arrival in an analytics role, remains vice president basketball strategy and research, while Tyla Flexman, vice president operations, also signed a new deal. Flexman joined the Raptors in September of 2024, replacing Teresa Resch, who left to head the expansion Toronto Tempo WNBA franchise.

“We’re building something special here, and I’m proud to continue to lead the Toronto Raptors as we work towards our next championship,” Webster said in a release. “This is a franchise that’s focused on the future, and we’re ready for what’s next.”
What did MLSE boss Keith Pelley say?
Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment CEO Keith Pelley is a big Webster backer, so the move was not a surprise.
“Bobby has an elite understanding of the game and the NBA, and he’s used that to build a team that competes at a high level,” Pelley said in the release.
“It’s been an exciting year for the Raptors. They were a joy to watch compete together, and with Bobby and the Raptors, we’ve seen the results, and we believe in where his leadership will take us.”
While the front office has not been perfect overall in the last half-decade or so, there’s not much to quibble with post-Ujiri and these extensions should be seen as no-brainers.
The Raptors ended a playoff drought by winning 46 games and then took eventual conference finalist Cleveland to the brink in a seven-game loss.

Collin Murray-Boyles, selected ninth last year, looks like a long-term cornerstone, Scottie Barnes emerged as one of the best two-way players in the NBA, free-agent signing Sandro Mamukelashvili excelled, Brandon Ingram returned to all-star form and Ja’Kobe Walter and Jamal Shead, draft picks in 2024, both broke out to some degree, including in the playoffs.
Will the Raptors head coach get an extension too?
Head coach Darko Rajakovic also had a strong campaign and Sportsnet’s Michael Grange reported Rajakovic will soon receive an extension of his own, providing stability for the franchise as it attempts to take more steps forward.

There was no reason to make any significant personnel changes this summer and, in fact, it’s a boon to the franchise that Ujiri, recently hired as big boss of the Dallas Mavericks, didn’t poach any of his key former employees in Toronto.
“This group has been integral to building the organization and shaping our long-term vision – their leadership, expertise and commitment is second to none,” Webster said of Tolzman, Boyarsky and Flexman.
The NBA draft is on June 23 and 24, while free agency for the cap-strapped Raptors kicks off soon after that.
