Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Jack Bech had a disappointing rookie season, finishing as the team’s sixth-leading receiver despite Brock Bowers missing time with a nagging knee injury and the team trading Jakobi Meyers in November. His limited opportunities were largely due to Tyler Lockett out-snapping him and out-targeting him once the veteran Pro Bowler joined the Raiders in late October. Bech totaled 20 receptions on 29 targets for 224 yards across 16 games, including five starts, while totaling 343 offensive snaps.
In his second season, he will compete for the No. 3 wide receiver/outside position against Dont’e Thornton, alongside Tre Tucker on the outside and Jalen Nailor in the slot.

During a press conference a few weeks ago, Klint Kubiak was asked about Jack Bech and Dont’e Thornton’s roles heading into the 2026 NFL season, as reported by Ray Aspuria of Silver And Black Pride. The head coach said that the offense is counting on both players to produce. Kubiak also added that both Bech and Thornton will compete for a starting spot and the best man will win the job.
“Yeah, we’re counting on them. We’re counting on them to produce for us,” Kubiak said, when asked how important it is for second-year players to make a sophomore leap. “The good thing is there’s competition with (Jack) Bech and with DT (Dont’e Thornton Jr.). There’s a lot of competition in that receiver room, and may the best man win.”
Offensive coordinator Andrew Janocko repeated a similar sentiment a few days later:
“Yeah, I think all those guys are competing their butts off. Every day they come to work they put in time, you can tell they’re studying at night because they come in with a notebook full of questions,” Janocko said. “They’re always peppering Coach (Zach) Azzanni with questions. It’s not just those two, but that whole position group is exciting because they’re guys that really work hard.”
