Stoke City have agreed to appoint Arsenal’s Max Porter as part of their first-team coaching staff, as reported by The Telegraph.

Porter, who recently obtained his UEFA Pro Licence, is set to be part of Mark Robins’ coaching setup.

A former midfielder, Porter joined Arsenal’s academy coaching setup in 2019 and initially took charge of the U13 team.

He became assistant U21 coach in 2022 and was promoted to head coach at that level last year following the departure of Mehmet Ali.

Porter has also previously taken charge of Arsenal U19s in the UEFA Youth League.
