Alisson is set to remain at Liverpool despite speculation over his future. It has been a summer of major change at Anfield, with Andoni Iraola replacing Arne Slot following his dismissal.

The club have also seen several key departures, including Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson and Ibrahima Konate, who is set to join Real Madrid on a free transfer this summer.

Questions were raised over Alisson’s future towards the end of last season, with Juventus reportedly interested in signing the Brazilian.

Having been sidelined for several weeks due to injury, Alissonreturned for Liverpool’s final-day draw against Brentford in the Premier League.

Despite the uncertainty, Federico Chiesa believes that appearance will not be Alisson’s last at Anfield. “From what I hear, he’s staying in England,” Chiesa told Gazzetta dello Sport about Alisson.

“Then let’s see. We’re talking about one of the top five goalkeepers on the planet. He’s a fantastic leader. He’s won everything and makes the difference on the pitch and in the dressing room.”

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Juventus have made contact with the entourage of Aston Villa shot-stopper Emiliano Martínez as they step up their search for a new first-choice goalkeeper.

The move comes as their interest in Alisson Becker has cooled, with the Liverpool goalkeeper now considered unlikely to leave following manager Andoni Iraola’s decision to build his project around him.

Alisson Becker’s contract at Liverpool was set to expire this summer, but the club have triggered a 12-month extension option. He is now under contract until the end of the 2026-27 season.

Juventus boss Luciano Spalletti is said to want an experienced, commanding goalkeeper with strong leadership qualities to organise his defence. Tottenham’s Guglielmo Vicario is also attracting interest from the Serie A giants.

Romano posted on X: “Juventus want Dibu Martínez as priority target for GK position after Alisson deal off. Talks have started to ask about price and contract details, high salary but Juve keen to explore move. Another option remains Spurs GK Vicario.”

Martínez reportedly earns around €9million net per season, plus bonuses, and is under contract at Aston Villa until June 2029, with the club valuing the Argentina international at about €40million.

His involvement with Argentina at the 2026 FIFA World Cup means any concrete negotiations are likely to be delayed until after the tournament.

Juventus are aware that the deal would be complex, but with Michele Di Gregorio struggling for consistency last season, strengthening in goal remains one of their key priorities this summer.
