The Chicago Bears cranked up the drama on Friday around the site of their stadium. The team’s board of directors voted to move forward with plans to build a new stadium in Hammond, Ind., after the Illinois legislature failed to pass a bill that would finance a new stadium in the state.
After five years of back and forth, fans are asking: is this it? Maybe not, according to Bears officials. Several Illinois lawmakers – including Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, and State Representative Nicolle Grasse of Arlington Heights – have expressed hope that a deal can still be done to keep the football team in the Chicago area.
On today’s Say More, we discuss the latest in this ongoing saga, and ask listeners to weigh in.
