As the 2026 NBA draft looms, the Golden State Warriors look to be judicious with the draft capital. Golden State is coming off a season that many would consider disappointing, falling to the Phoenix Suns in the final game of the NBA play-in tournament to miss the playoffs. With Golden State landing the 11th pick in the draft, it appears as if they're looking to get a player that can fill an immediate need.
ClutchPoints senior NBA reporter Brett Siegel reports that several interesting names have been linked to the Warriors as the draft looms.
“Along with Carr and Mara, Burries, Hannes Steinbach, and Yaxel Lendeborg are other names commonly brought up as targets for the Warriors around the league. Ament and Flemings are among the two players Golden State would give serious consideration to if they fell out of the top 10,” Siegel said.
Siegel also reports that Golden State has scheduled a workout with former Michigan standout Lendeborg.

“Speaking of Lendeborg, he has a scheduled upcoming workout for the Warriors, a source said. How he performs during this workout will greatly impact whether he is truly in play for the Dubs, as he has been a hard read as of late.”
Lendeborg played three seasons at Michigan and was a pivotal part of their championship run. In the 2025-2026 season, he averaged 15.1 points per game, 6.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.2 blocks, and 1.1 steals while shooting 37.2% from the 3-point line in 40 games played. He was a consistent wing scoring threat for Michigan in the March Madness Tournament, scoring 13 points in their 69-63 National Championship victory over UConn.
With Lendeborg gearing up for his workout with the Warriors, one could wonder if Golden State is what's in store for his future.
