For his outstanding contributions to the Knicks' Finals run, Landy Shamet is now drawing early market interest from rival teams.
The New York Knicks are playing in the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999, and that won't be possible if it weren't for Landry Shamet's big-time contributions.

From being signed to a non-guaranteed veteran minimum and a late roster addition, Shamet managed to prove his worth and exceeded his $2.29 million value for New York in the team's magical run this year. In his second consecutive campaign with them, he is simply tremendous with his shooting and reliability as the Knicks' spark plug off the bench.
After averaging 9.3 points this past regular season, Shamet maintained his special production for the Knicks just when it mattered the most in the NBA Playoffs. Across 16 postseason games, he is averaging 6.6 points while shooting a red-hot 52.9 percent from the field, netting a staggering 56.3 percent of his 3-Point attempts.
Landry Shamet already drawing market interest amid huge Knicks playoff impact
Out of his massive impact for the Knicks' NBA Finals run, Landy Shamet is now reportedly garnering plenty of interest already.
Per NBA insider Marc Stein, rival teams are now gearing up and preparing to pursue his services once he becomes a free agent.
"While we're all still trying to process the Knicks' ridiculous 13-game playoff winning streak which dates to April 23 as they head into Monday night's Game 3 against San Antonio with a 2-0 series lead, Shamet has been reveling in his own ridiculous heater. He's shooting nearly 55% from the floor and 50% from deep (18 for 36) in those 13 wins and, yes, I'm told external suitors are already starting to circle in anticipation of pursuing him in free agency, which officially begins June 30 at 6 PM ET," Stein wrote.
"It certainly doesn't hurt that Shamet is only 29. Considerable interest is inevitable because, well, who doesn't need more shooting?"
Shamet is set to become an unrestricted free agent.
Considering his brilliant displays all throughout New York's playoff run, he will certainly earn a significant payday and the consideration he's been looking for in his career as one of the NBA's well-known journeymen.
For now, with him and the Knicks leading the Spurs 2-0, Shamet first needs to get the job done and continue his shooting streak to secure a bright offseason ahead for himself.
