Cardi B to perform halftime show at Game 3 of Knicks-Spurs NBA Finals

Cardi B is heading to Madison Square Garden for Game 3 of the NBA Finals.

The Grammy-winning rapper will be performing during the halftime show as the New York Knicks take on the San Antonio Spurs.

Cardi is no stranger to performing at Madison Square Garden, as she had two tour stops at the iconic New York City venue back in March for her Little Miss Drama tour. She also was seen courtside last season alongside boyfriend Stefon Diggs for Game 4 of the Eastern Conference when the Knicks faced the Boston Celtics. Last season, Mary J. Blige performed during halftime for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

It's unclear which songs Cardi will perform tonight, but most likely her breakout hit “Bodak Yellow,” and songs from her sophomore album like “Hello” and “Outside” might make the cut on the setlist tonight.

Cardi won't be the only celebrity in the building tonight, with previous playoff appearances from Spike Lee, Timothée Chalamet, Fat Joe, Tracy Morgan, and Ben Stiller are to be expected. Additionally, President Donald Trump also confirmed his appearance for Game 3. He is set to make history as the first sitting U.S. president to attend an NBA Finals game. Due to his appearance, Madison Square Garden has initiated a strict no-bag policy, TSA-style screening, and watch parties outside of Madison Square Garden have been cancelled.

“A strict no-bag policy will be in effect, and fans should make every effort to limit personal items to an absolute minimum. Fans should expect enhanced security measures when entering Madison Square Garden, including TSA-style screening procedures. Guests are strongly encouraged to arrive at least two hours before tip-off to allow additional time for screening and entry,” the statement said from the Knicks social media account.

The Knicks face the Spurs for Game 4 as they lead 2-0 in the series and head to their first home game at Madison Square Garden tonight. Tip-off is set to begin at 8:30 pm ET.
