Pat McAfee sends reminder to NBA fans about Spurs’ Game 3 ceiling vs. Knicks

ESPN host Pat McAfee sent a friendly reminder to NBA fans ahead of Game 3 of the NBA Finals between the New York Knicks and the San Antonio Spurs. Facing a 0-2 hole in the best-of-7 series, the Spurs are searching for their first win of the Finals.

McAfee, warning Knicks fans, reminded everyone that All-Star Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs have never been in this situation before, and it could lead to their best performance of the Finals.

“I am here to remind the world that this Spurs team is basically anonymous to us. We don't know who they are. We have no idea who they are,” McAfee said. “They could go HAM tonight, and I think that's expected. And I think the NBA would be thankful for it.”

When McAfee was asked what the motto for Game 3 is, he didn't hold back.

“Don't be an a**,” McAfee added. “Be an asset. That's life, baby, especially here in the world's most famous arena. We are so incredibly lucky and happy to be here.”

.@QRich and @KendrickPerkins LOVE what the New York Knicks have been doing..

Knicks All-Star Karl-Anthony Towns gave Victor Wembanyama his flowers ahead of facing the Spurs in Game 3 of the NBA Finals. As the best-of-7 series shifts to New York, Towns is anticipating what could be Wembanyama's best performance of the series.

“A generational player. Something we’ve never seen before,” Towns said. “To be able to play in this moment against the best is all you can ask for.”

Towns and the Knicks will look to grab a commanding 3-0 lead in the Finals.
