Knicks fans loudly boo Victor Wembanyama as Spurs star takes floor for Game 3

New York Knicks fans are giving San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama the business ahead of Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Monday night.

Upon taking the court ahead of the contest at Madison Square Garden, Knicks fans greeted Wemby with loud boos, which is exactly what we expected to hear.

After all, Wembanyama is the biggest threat to the Knicks’ chances of finishing off the NBA Finals after taking a 2-0 lead.

And even though he has struggled in this series thus far, Knicks fans are taking nothing for granted.

Knicks fans should also be trying to get into Wemby’s head after he admitted that he lost his poise in Game 2 after committing a crucial turnover in the closing seconds.

“I’m still very blurry, and that’s the whole problem,” Wembanyama said when asked about the final three possessions. “I need to have more poise, more control over the game.”

That comment was simply unacceptable to Shaquille O’Neal and the NBA legend suggested the Knicks should try and take advantage of Wemby seemingly being flustered.

“As the leader you should probably say, ‘It’s on me,’ but don’t say things are blurry,” Shaq said. “If I’m anybody on the New York Knicks, I’m coming at his head on Monday … That sounds like he’s flustered … As that guy on that team, you just gotta step up.”

Rest assured, Knicks fans know exactly what is going on with Wemby and he’s going to be hearing boos (and probably much worse) all night long.
