Draymond Green seeing Stephen Curry-level star power in Knicks’ Jalen Brunson

Jalen Brunson is undoubtedly big in New York. The New York Knicks guard has been the face of basketball in the city, and his star power has even seemingly reached the level of a Stephen Curry or a LeBron James in the eyes of Golden State Warriors star forward Draymond Green.

Just before the start of Wednesday's Game 3 of the 2026 NBA Finals between the Knicks and the San Antonio Spurs, the four-time NBA All-Star Green shared his personal observation of Brunson's popularity.

“Impressive to me is, I've obviously played in six NBA Finals or whatever it is, but I played with Stephen Curry, and I played against LeBron James a lot. And the amount of Jalen Brunson jerseys I see stacks up to the amount of Stephen Curry and LeBron James jerseys you see,” the four-time NBA champion said on Inside the NBA.

“And that's what's been most impressive to me is how much support they have for this team, but in particular, how much this city has banned around that guy who's the engine in pushing this whole thing forward,” added the former NBA Defensive Player of the Year.

There is indeed no denying of Brunson's appeal, as he's led the Knicks to the franchise's first NBA Finals appearance in over 25 years.

But expect his star to get immportalized in the Big Apple if the Knicks get the job done in their series against Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs. Heading into Game 3 with a 2-0 series lead, Brunson and the Knicks are poised to take a 3-0 lead, which would all but give the title to New York.
