The San Antonio Spurs needed to come out in Game 3 of the NBA Finals against the New York Knicks and be the more physical team. But fans are upset after Victor Wembanyama appeared to get overly physical and borderline dirty in the first quarter of Game 3.
Early in the first quarter, as Keldon Johnson and Karl-Anthony Towns are fighting for position on the low block, Jalen Brunson and Wembanyama appeared to get tangled up at the free throw line. That's when Wembanyama appeared to shove the head or neck of Brunson to the point where Brunson nearly lost his balance and fell. The play went uncalled, and Brunson stood up, pointed at Wembanyama, and appeared to warn him. Wembanyama smile afterwards.
