The San Antonio Spurs can savor their win on Monday, but there is no time to celebrate.
The Spurs possibly salvaged their campaign after beating the New York Knicks, 115-111, in Game 3 of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden, avoiding an almost insurmountable 3-0 hole.
Stephon Castle coolly drained two free throws with only 6.8 seconds left to seal the win for San Antonio, which has yet to lose three straight games this season.
Castle recorded his best game of the series, finishing with 23 points on 8-of-14 shooting, five rebounds, and five assists. The 21-year-old guard, however, remained even-keeled.
“I wouldn't say relief. I still feel like we haven't really done anything. Obviously, we're still down, 2-1, and we're looking forward to the next 48 minutes,” said the former Rookie of the Year in the video posted by SNY.
“Whether we won or lost this game, the series wouldn't be over for us. Obviously, it feels good to win, especially on the road after dropping two bad ones. I think our confidence has been the same throughout the series, regardless of what happened.”
Stephon Castle says that he doesn't necessarily feel relief after getting the win tonight:

It was a nip-and-tuck affair in the fourth quarter, but the Spurs refused to budge and held on for the victory, stunning the jampacked crowd that was ready to blow the roof off.
Victor Wembanyama led San Antonio with 32 points on 11-of-18 shooting, eight rebounds, six assists, two steals, and three blocks.
A young team like the Spurs cannot be too high or too low in the series, and Castle is fully aware of that.
The Spurs will try to even the series in Game 4 on Wednesday.
