Kawhi Leonard attends Greek League Finals, talks potentially playing in Greece

Kawhi Leonard attended the Greek League finals matchup between Olympiacos and Panathinaikos, praising the atmosphere while also addressing the possibility of playing in Greece one day.

Los Angeles Clippers superstar Kawhi Leonard was spotted at one of the most intense finals series in basketball, between Olympiacos Piraeus and Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens.

Leonard attended Game 3 of the series in Piraeus with his family, where he supported Olympiacos and his good friend Cory Joseph.

Speaking about his experience in Greece, Leonard said he enjoyed the atmosphere.

"I came to support Olympiacos. It's been a fun experience so far," Leonard said in a short interview with Greek broadcaster ERT.

When asked whether he would ever consider playing in Greece, Leonard did not rule out the possibility.

"I don't know. Maybe. Maybe it can be one of my kids, if they can't make it in the NBA, but you never know," he said.

Leonard's connection with Cory Joseph

Kawhi Leonard was hosted in Greece by his former San Antonio Spurs teammate Cory Joseph.

Before Game 3 of the Greek League finals matchup, the two were seen having dinner at a restaurant, with Leonard spending part of his offseason vacation in Greece.

Both players were selected in the 2011 NBA Draft and went on to spend four seasons together with the Spurs, helping San Antonio win the NBA championship in 2014.

After a 14-year NBA career, 34-year-old Cory Joseph made his first move to Europe this season, joining Olympiacos Piraeus midway through the campaign. He has already helped the club win the EuroLeague title.
