The Milwaukee Bucks' moving on from Giannis Antetokounmpo would cause a lot of questions about their future, though Antetokounmpo might not be too worried about that at the moment.
The Bucks, ultimately, can't really give Antetokounmpo everything that he wants, and Antetokounmpo might feel the same way. The Bucks have to worry about their future, while the multi-time MVP Award winner and NBA champion has to worry about his future.
The Bucks are definitely going to look at all of their options if they decide to move on from him, and the Boston Celtics could be one team that makes sense to trade him to. If the Bucks are looking for the best possible player, Jaylen Brown might be that. However, according to ESPN insider Brian Windhorst, he hasn't heard that the Celtics are on Antetokounmpo's list.
“I have not heard that Boston is on Giannis’s list,” Windhorst told Celtics on CLNS. “I have not heard that Giannis is prepared to sign the extension with Boston.
“Now let’s have a discussion,” Windhorst said. “But I haven’t heard that. Just because I haven’t heard doesn’t mean it’s not true. But until those two things are true, I don’t think it’s really something that’s in the world of reality.”
As Windhorst touched on, anything is really possible right now. Just because he hasn't heard that Antetokounmpo could end up in Boston doesn't mean that it won't happen.
Brad Stevens is one of the best executives in the NBA and will always look to make the right move for his team. If that means adding Antetokounmpo, that's what will happen, or at least he'll try.
