Liverpool would only “reluctantly” sell Curtis Jones this summer amid confirmed interest from Inter Milan, with no push for a deal despite his expiring contract.
Jones’ current contract expires in 2027 and Inter are actively pursuing a deal after Liverpool set a price tag of £35 million.
But The Athletic‘s James Pearce claims the club “do not want to lose” the only Scouser in their first-team squad, with it clear he will not be forced out.
However, Liverpool are prepared to “reluctantly sanction a sale if he asks for a move and a suitable offer is on the table.”
What are Inter Milan offering for Curtis Jones?

Inter are yet to meet Liverpool’s valuation, which is partly informed by Conor Gallagher’s move to Tottenham from Atletico Madrid for a similar fee in January, with it previously reported they would start bidding at €20 million (£17.3m).
With that less than half of Liverpool’s asking price any negotiations are likely to be protracted and may only accelerate if Jones pushes for the exit.
Jones is exploring the possibility of a move to Milan having asked team-mate Federico Chiesa about life living in Italy.

“I told him it’s great and the weather is better than Liverpool, which, aside from that, is a special place,” Chiesa told La Gazzetta dello Sport last week.
“Jones is really strong technically. Inter are right to think about him.”
Chiesa was joined in speaking publicly about the prospect of Jones joining Inter by the Serie A club’s sporting director Piero Ausilio, who told reporters: “Curtis Jones, we are paying attention to him.
“We didn’t hide. We understand what the developments will be.”
The 25-year-old is currently enjoying a post-season break with his fiancee Saffron and their daughter Giselle, having been left out of England’s squad for the World Cup.
He will be among those expected back for the start of pre-season at the AXA Training Centre, and his first meetings with new head coach Andoni Iraola could prove decisive.
Iraola has vowed to consider every player as a “new signing” having taken over from Arne Slot earlier this month and there is every reason to believe Jones can figure prominently under the Spaniard.
