It's believed that Mohamed Salah has three key requirements when choosing his next club after departing Liverpool.
The Egyptian forward is expected to have plenty of options and will be selective in his decision. Salah confirmed his Anfield exit in March, despite having another year remaining on his contract. Less than 12 months after extending his deal by two years, the experienced attacker announced he would conclude his nine-year spell on Merseyside at the end of the 2026/26 campaign.
The 33-year-old heads into this summer's World Cup without a club lined up for next season, though widespread speculation suggests he could move to the Saudi Pro League.
Liverpool and Salah previously turned down lucrative offers from the Middle East. And it seems previous approaches for his services are shaping his expectations this summer.
According to reports in the Middle East, Salah wants a financial package that matches his market value and has already rejected one Saudi Pro League offer that fell short of what he was presented with before renewing his Liverpool contract.
The Premier League legend also seeks a contract of up to three years to provide some certainty about his future during the twilight of his career.

And significantly, he also wishes to join a side that can compete for major honors; he has no interest in merely taking part in a new league.
Salah's Liverpool career seemed to reach its conclusion, in part, because of a strained relationship with Arne Slot.
The forward openly criticized his manager on multiple occasions as he experienced a diminished role at Anfield.
Even after his final appearance, Salah couldn't resist a swipe at Slot as he outlined what he hoped to see at Anfield following a challenging campaign.
Taking to social media, he referenced the identity forged under Jurgen Klopp.

"I want to see Liverpool go back to being the heavy metal attacking team that opponents fear, and back to being a team that wins trophies," he wrote. "That is the football I know how to play and that is the identity that needs to be recovered and kept for good.
"It cannot be negotiable and everyone that joins this club should adapt to it. Winning some games here and there is not what Liverpool should be about. All teams win games."
Within days of that statement, Slot was fired by Liverpool. He was succeeded by Andoni Iraola, the former Bournemouth boss.
