Real Madrid ready to offer four players for Fernandez?
Chelsea news is gaining limelight for new reasons. Fernandez is one of the top priorities for Real Madrid. The Spanish club is ready to pay whatever is necessary to secure the star midfielder from Stamford Bridge. However, that’s not all. As reported by TEAMTALK, Los Blancos may even offer four players in exchange for Fernandez apart from the usual price. They’re ready to do whatever it takes to get Fernandez to Bernabeu.

The West London club initially hoped to retain Fernandez. However, the 25-year-old isn’t too keen about remaining at Stamford Bridge. Consequently, the Blues will aim for a significant deal. As per ESPN, Fernandez has a massive release price of around €120 million. He joined Chelsea in 2023. The midfielder previously played for the Portuguese club Benfica between 2022 and 2023. He also played for the River Plate club between 2019 and 2022.

Enzo Fernandez’s performance for Chelsea in previous season
Fernandez performed well for Chelsea last year. The 2025-26 season wasn’t an extremely outstanding one for the West London club. They faced early exits in the EFL Cup and the Champions League. The West London club finished in the 10th place in the 2025-26 Premier League.
However, the Blues had their bright moments too. They won the FIFA Club World Cup for the second time last year. The Blues won their first edition in the 2021-22 season. Chelsea also finished runners-up in the FA Cup. They lost to Manchester City by 1-0 in the finals.
The Chelsea news about Fernandez’s transfer has left people divided. While it’s not official, Spanish media claims that the midfielder is interested in signing a five-year contract with Los Blancos. However, the actual result depends on the club’s presidential elections. If Florentino Perez wins the elections, the deal will go forward. Likewise, his victory also confirms the much talked about entry of Jose Mourinho as the team manager.
Future Gameplan for Enzo Fernandez & Real Madrid
Enzo Fernandez has multiple targets to achieve. For now, the midfielder aims to deliver back-to-back World Cup titles for Argentina. Fernandez was a part of the Argentina squad that won the previous edition. He was also a part of the **football team**that won the 2024 Copa America edition.
As such, the Argentinian midfielder aims to deliver another World Cup to Argentina. Since 1962, no team has managed to defend the FIFA World Cup. Brazil had last defended their title in the 1962 edition. Since then, West Germany, Argentina, Brazil, and France have managed to reach consecutive finals. France finished runners-up in the 2022 edition. Les Bleus had previously won the 2018 edition.
The Chelsea news on Fernandez’s transfer is not a straightforward issue. The Blues will undoubtedly lose a core member of their midfield. However, at the same time, Fernandez could get a better chance to showcase his skills at Bernabeu. If Mourinho joins the squad by mid-June, it’ll be a bonus for Fernandez.
