If Dozing Don can’t keep his eyes open during cabinet meetings, imagine how difficult it must have been for him to remain conscious through an NBA Finals game that lasted 48 whole minutes.
After forcing a lockdown of Madison Square Garden so he could attend Monday’s Spurs-Knicks matchup, President Donald Trump was caught on video slumbering through a piece of the action. What most fans saw as a tense nail-biter as San Antonio clawed its way to a 115-111 victory was apparently a snooze fest for the Napper in Chief.
In honor of Trump’s ability to snore and drool through what may have been the year’s most riveting sporting event, may we present the following limericks dedicated to his slumbering prowess.
The president showed up at MSG
To watch Knicks-Spurs Game No. 3
But he slept through the run
And missed all the fun
While drooling on national TV
The president sat behind bulletproof glass
Determined to view every bucket and pass
But he nodded off deep

While foul smells drifted up from his ass

But by halftime’s loud roar
