The San Francisco 49ers are one of the oldest teams in the NFL. San Francisco somehow made the playoffs last season with a 12-5 record despite various injuries. Mac Jones had to play quarterback for part of the season with Brock Purdy sidelined with an injury of his own. The 49ers are in win-now mode because players like George Kittle, Trent Williams, and Christian McCaffrey probably won’t be in the NFL for much longer.

San Francisco finished in third place in the NFC West last season behind the Los Angeles Rams and the Seattle Seahawks. There have been some interesting things going on this offseason for head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch. There are many questions about whether or not wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk will be on the team as the 2026 NFL season approaches.

There are a lot of teams that will be having mandatory minicamp this week. However, espn.com said about the 49ers minicamp, “The 49ers canceled their minicamp.” This is interesting that San Francisco decided to cancel mandatory minicamp. Could it be because that San Francisco is one of the oldest teams in the NFL and they need to rest before training camp happens in July? Well, there doesn’t seem to be many stories for this team other than Aiyuk’s situation with the franchise anyways.
