Rangers are reportedly ramping up their search for a new right-back with "concrete interest" shown in Westerlo star Bryan Reynolds.

Captain James Tavernier left Ibrox at the end of the season while loanee Max Aarons has returned to his parent club Bournemouth after a disappointing spell in Glasgow.

The club are said to be keen on 24-year-old Reynolds, having raided the Belgian club to sign Tuur Rommens in the winter window.

Het Niuewsblad state that Westerlo are "open" to allowing the USA cap to leave the club this summer, but would demand "a few million" for the player with his contract set to expire at the end of next season.

Everton defender Nathan Patterson has also been touted with a return to Glasgow after struggling for game time in the Premier League last term.

The right-back burst on to the scene at Ibrox in 2020 and made Steve Clarke’s squad for the Euros before earning a stunning £11million move to the Premier League side.

But he has failed to kick on since then and the 24-year-old managed only 10 appearances for Everton throughout 2025 after he ruptured his hamstring in a 6-0 defeat to Chelsea in April 2024.

And this term, he's struggled for regular action under Davie Moyes - managing just 241 minutes of Premier League action for The Toffees.

Patterson still earned a call up to the World Cup for Scotland - and The Telegraph report that a move to a. new club is on the cards.

The Times report that Everton are keen on Atalanta’s Raoul Bellanova, among others right-back options.

The report notes the club are listening to offers for Patterson, as they look to add depth to the position for the new season.
