President Donald Trump attended game three of the NBA Finals on Monday night, bringing along with him a cursed energy that may or may not have directly caused the first Knicks loss of the series. He also brought his favorite granddaughter, Kai Trump, who had a good time despite the fact that no one wanted her grandfather to be there and in fact relentlessly booed him.
The president’s presence required the NYPD to shut down a significant portion of midtown and created long security lines for fans entering Madison Square Garden. He was seated in a suite at the Garden, where he was shown onscreen saluting during the national anthem. Next to him was Kai, Donald Trump Jr.’s oldest child, who couldn’t help but smirk a little while her grandfather was being booed. It’s unclear if the look was one of “I love the haters” or if Kai is secretly a leftist who agrees that her papa is destroying the country. Probably the former, but you never know.

Later in the game, Kai remained engaged while Trump Sr. appeared to rest his eyes for a bit.
